 What type of identification is required for rentals?

ALL rentals require ID.  Current & Valid drivers license, vehicle registration, utility bills along with a document bearing a signature which indicates local residence.  Master Card, Visa and Discover may be used.

For those who have just moved to the area and have not changed the address on their identification, contact Rental World to determine what can be used as identification.

 When does the rental period begin?

The rental period Begins and Ends when the contract is processed at the counter.  When the rental item is being delivered, the rental starts at the time the equipment is loaded onto the Rental World vehicles and ends when it is unloaded back at Rental World.

Rent charges are calculated on time out and time in, not actual time used.

 Do I need a Deposit?

Deposits are taken on some rentals, unless a house charge is established.  The deposit amount will depend on the item being rented.

 Must my deposit be in cash?

Rental World accepts Cash, Credit Card (Visa – Master Card – Discover – American Express) and local checks with local identification may be used as a deposit.

When a check is left as a deposit, the check is deposited in the bank and the deposit refund will be mailed after the check has cleared with the bank which takes approximately two weeks.

There is a $35.00 charge on all checks returned and not processed by the bank.

 Do I need a Reservation?

Reservations are Recommended on all items to assure the availability of the item desired.  A deposit is required unless a house account has been established.

If the item is cancelled or is not rented at the time scheduled, the cancellation charge will be the amount of the reservation deposit.  On house accounts, the cancellation charge is approximately 25% of the rental.

Garden equipment may be transferred to another date, but not cancelled, due to rain or excessive weather conditions.

This reservation transfer must be accompanied by a phone call Prior to the reservation time, otherwise the deposit will be held as a cancellation charge.
